Feiglin: A Beacon of Integrity in the Knesset

From "Yeshiva World News"

Many would posit the reason Deputy Speaker MK (Likud) Moshe Feiglin has fought such an uphill battle prior to and after entering Knesset is because he remains a beacon of integrity. That is to say that one may or may not agree with his hashkafa, popularity is not among his considerations for establishing a position on a policy, such as medical marijuana.
In his latest surprise statement, Feiglin expressed agreement with Finance Minister Yair Lapid’s decision to cut funding to the Yesha Council after learning it has taken money allocated for yishuvim to use to further the council’s political agenda.
“While the attack on the Yesha Council is of a political nature and not economic – it is absolutely justified. There is no justification for transferring funds intended for municipalities to allocate them for matters of public controversy.”
Journalist Amnon Abramovich reported that the funds are not used for security and maintenance of educational institutions as they were allocated, but supposedly transferred some of the funds council indirectly, some going to media campaigns opposing the government.
