Deputy Knesset Speaker MK Moshe Feiglin (Likud) call on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold elections Monday, noting that frustrations over the coalition crisis are at an all-time high.
"The public who chose you has lost faith in the coalition, which is in conflict and dysfunctional," Feiglin stated. "Yesh Atid proves every day that even the present does not interest them and Tzipi Livni is busy with her own political survival."
"Stop the political game," Feiglin continued, "and announce elections. Let the public have their say. The Israeli people deserve a stable government, which represents a broad national consensus and hope."
Feiglin's comments surface as coalition tensions have begun to snowball into political action, with the Opposition and Labor chairman MK Yitzhak Herzog submitting a bill to break apart the government
The bill is to come up for a vote on Wednesday, but is likely to be shot down unless it gets support from within the coalition.
Despite this, at least one other attempt has been made to bring down the government: Yedioth Aharonoth reports the hareidi parties Shas and United Torah Judaism submitted similar bills separately, a meaningful move given Netanyahu's reported attempts to form an alternate coalition with the hareidi parties.
